Position Overview

The Director, Global Brand Strategy at Stanley presents a unique opportunity for a strategic marketer to make a significant impact for a growing brand. As a vital member of our expanding marketing team, you will directly report to the VP of Marketing and play a crucial role in driving our brand strategy and planning across the organization. Your responsibilities will include owning the marketing strategy, effectively communicating it throughout the company, and ensuring that the marketing function operates within budget and achieves its objectives. Collaboration is a key component in this role, where you work closely with individuals from marketing, product, sales, and finance to develop comprehensive plans and continually enhance marketing outcomes. This is a hybrid role based in our Seattle, WA offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the VP of Marketing and the marketing leadership team to create and implement a robust brand strategy that aligns with our overall business goals.
  • Manage the global marketing budget, ensuring efficient financial planning, resource allocation, and the development of goals and performance indicators. Lead the monthly and quarterly business review process.
  • Create an investment framework that guides resource allocation and drives strategic decisions. Collaborate closely with the finance team to develop planning processes and update strategies accordingly.
  • Lead consumer insights, market research, and competitive analysis efforts to advise the development of strategic marketing plans.
  • Develop and communicate the short and long-term marketing strategy and brand plan, including seasonal support and activation roadmaps.
  • Manage partnerships and agency relationships across marketing, ensuring standardized contracts and fee schedules are in place.
  • Build and lead the GTM management team, supporting global marketing initiatives and overseeing the deployment of creative resources.
  • Drive transformational programs that enhance return on investment, including the development of tools and systems to measure marketing effectiveness.
  • Lead special projects for marketing leadership, including partnership development, scoping, setting objectives, and defining success criteria.
  • Foster cross-functional relationships to ensure alignment, integration, and support for marketing initiatives and overall brand strategy.
  • Continuously improve processes, workflows, and tools, driving efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the marketing team, fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Keep up-to-date with current trends, effective approaches, and new technologies in marketing and incorporate relevant knowledge into the planning process.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in business strategy, marketing, finance, or operations.
  • Prior history people management of leading successful teams and managing sophisticated programs across various functions.
  • Strong background in developing brand and marketing strategies, setting targets and goals, and managing budgets and brand planning.
  • Proven track record in assessing marketing impact, setting objectives and key results, guiding yearly and quarterly strategies, and conducting business evaluations.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of working well with diverse individuals and facilitating agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely completion while upholding high standards of attention to detail and quality.
  • Forward-thinking individual with the capability to anticipate obstacles, create proactive resolutions, and adjust to evolving needs and demands.

Salary Range

$170,000 - $190,000

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
