Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Brokerage Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the day-to-day logistics and transportation operations for one of our growing clients in the logistics industry. The ideal candidate will lead a team to ensure efficient shipment coordination, foster strong relationships with carriers and clients, and maintain a high standard of service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the brokerage team, ensuring timely and cost-effective shipment coordination.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, negotiating rates and service agreements to meet client needs.
  • Manage carrier compliance with company policies and industry regulations, ensuring safety and legal standards are met.
  • Monitor and improve performance metrics, including on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and delivery processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to optimize workflow, reduce costs, and increase service reliability.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to make informed decisions.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the brokerage operations team to enhance their skills and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in logistics, transportation brokerage, or a similar field, with a focus on operations management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of driving operational success.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
  • Familiarity with transportation regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant technology platforms.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics processes.
