Job Overview:

We're seeking a dynamic and creative Content Creator and Social Media Manager to elevate Kate McLeod's brand's presence across our social media platforms. This role requires a versatile individual who excels in creating compelling content, managing social media channels, and overseeing the production of engaging multimedia materials meant for social media. The ideal candidate will have strong photography and videography skills, be adept at the execution of a social media strategy, and possess the ability to manage content projects from conception to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation:
  • Capture high-quality photography and videography that aligns with our brand's voice and visual identity.
  • Act as on-screen talent as needed, delivering engaging and authentic content for various platforms.
  • Social Media Management:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand visibility, engagement, and follower growth.
  • Create and manage a posting schedule for all social media platforms, ensuring consistent and timely content delivery.
  • Monitor social media channels, engage with the audience, and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
  • Analyze social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of content and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Content Calendar Management and Production:
  • Design and maintain a content calendar that outlines the schedule for content creation and posting across all platforms.
  • Coordinate with external freelancers, creators, and other team members to ensure seamless content production and delivery.
  • Manage the end-to-end content production process, from brainstorming and planning to execution and final delivery.
  • Ensure that all content aligns with our brand guidelines and meets quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Content Creator with a video emphasis; nice to have experience as a Social Media Manager, Content Manager, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in photography and videography, at minimum on an iPhone; nice to have experience with more premium professional equipment. Should be able to operate a camera (iPhone or professional depending on the experience they have), establish and adjust lighting, and use editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, or apps that are available on an iPhone like CapCut or InShot).
  • Strong on-screen presence with the ability to deliver engaging content.
  • Expertise in social media platforms (experience with Instagram and TikTok required) and social media management tools (e.g., Dash Hudson).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and design.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with analytics tools to measure and report on content performance.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in content creation, social media management, and project management.
    • Minimum 3 years in content creation experience.
    • Minimum 5 years experience working post-college.
