Position Overview:

The Director of People & Culture will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing the company’s culture and people practices. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing initiatives that promote a strong sense of community, teamwork, and professional growth. The Director will oversee training and development programs, ensure effective onboarding processes, support employee morale, and drive culture initiatives that align with the company’s core values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Culture Development and Management:
• Develop and implement strategies to promote a positive and cohesive company culture.
• Foster an environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Lead initiatives that reinforce the company’s core values and mission.
• Training, Development and Performance Management
• Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to support employee development.
• Identify skill gaps and implement development plans to address them.
• Facilitate leadership development and internal growth opportunities for employees at all levels
• Onboarding and Operational Integration:
• Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new employees are integrated smoothly and effectively.
• Develop onboarding materials and programs that reflect the company’s culture and values.
• Monitor and improve the operational integration process for new hires.
• Employee Engagement and Morale:
• Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
• Serve as a resource for employees, providing support and addressing concerns.
• Develop and execute programs that boost team morale and recognition.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years in OD, HR or similar role working in the hospitality industry at luxury hotels or resorts
• Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field.
• Masters or advanced degree preferred.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time to experience and develop company culture at our property sites
• Hybrid work environment, primary workplace Naperville IL
• Proven experience in developing and implementing culture and engagement initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, manage change, and drive organizational success.
• Experience building training and development programs, onboarding processes, and employee engagement strategies.
