Job Overview – Logistics Director:

Join an esteemed team in Bronx, NY, as the Logistics Director. Reporting to the CFO, this role encompasses overall responsibility for procurement, purchasing, logistics, and asset management functions within the organization. The Director will oversee the development and implementation of internal control policies and procedures, ensuring efficient and compliant operations.

Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000/year

Location: Bronx, NY

Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities as the Logistics Director:

• Procurement and Purchasing: Oversee the procurement and purchasing processes, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services.
• Logistics Management: Manage logistics operations to ensure efficient movement and storage of goods.
• Asset Management: Develop and implement strategies for effective asset management, ensuring accurate tracking and utilization of assets.
• Internal Control Policies: Develop and enforce internal control policies and procedures to improve processes and ensure compliance.
• Budget Management: Prepare and administer budgets for procurement, purchasing, logistics, and asset management functions.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Unionized Environment: Navigate and manage operations within a unionized environment, ensuring compliance with labor agreements.
  
  

Qualifications for the Logistics Director:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience: 7+ years in procurement, purchasing, logistics, and asset management within a healthcare facility; 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; excellent communication skills.
• Attributes: Ability to enhance processes with strong internal control procedures; experience in a unionized environment preferred.
