Position Title: QA Analyst

Location: Remote

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Conduct manual testing on web and mobile applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance meet specified requirements.
  • Document test results and report defects in a clear and concise manner.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in requirements review meetings and provide feedback from a testing perspective.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect the existing functionality.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of test strategies, methodologies, and standards.
  • Ensure that all testing activities are carried out in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a QA Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with both white-box and black-box testing.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
  • Experience with SQL and data querying.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
