Director of Finance (KPI and IPO Preparation role)

The client functions as a technology-driven insurance platform, introducing innovation to the specialty insurance market. With guidance from industry experts, software specialists, and data scientists, they provide a distinctive membership model connecting underwriters, risk capital providers, and policyholders on a unified platform. Prioritizing transparency and data-driven solutions, the client aids individual underwriters in effectively navigating the insurance industry.

In anticipation of an upcoming IPO, the client is in the process of establishing a comprehensive framework for analyzing earnings and creating key performance indicators (KPIs) to cater to the needs of Business Unit Heads, the Executive Team, the Board, and external partners. The objective is to offer stakeholders insights into both business unit and HoldCo levels. The VP of Finance is looking to bring on a capable Director of Finance to contribute to the development of this finance framework, particularly concerning operational/financial KPIs and SEC Reporting. This role also involves an element of succession planning, providing associates with opportunities to assume broader responsibilities within the organization.

A solid foundation in advisory or strategy from a Big 4 background, coupled with a CPA and insurance experience, would be beneficial for this role. Analytical and SEC reporting experience would also be key. This presents an appropriate opportunity for someone with this foundation to diversify their finance experience. The position is remote, reflecting the emphasis on identifying talent based on skills rather than geographic constraints.
