ROLE OVERVIEW

The Director of Product Marketing will own and drive the product marketing function for our cutting-edge DNA sequencing services. Your mission will be to craft compelling narratives for prospects and customers, highlighting the transformative power of our technology. RESPONSIBILITIES


Develop and Execute Product Marketing Strategy:

  • Define and implement comprehensive product marketing strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify opportunities and challenges in the sequencing landscape
  • Create compelling, differentiated messaging and positioning that resonates with different customer segments and stakeholders


Go-to-Market (GTM) Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and execute GTM plans for new products and services, including positioning, messaging, pricing, and distribution strategies
  • Partner with sales teams to provide tools, training, and resources for effectively selling our products
  • Develop compelling content to drive demand generation campaigns for sales and prosumer campaigns for our product-led growth campaigns


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product, marketing, sales, and executive teams to ensure alignment on product launches and gather market feedback
  • Collaborate with design teams to create visually appealing marketing assets


Customer Insights and Feedback:

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform future product development and marketing strategies
  • Identify and leverage impactful customer success stories to build credibility and showcase real-world applications of our technology


Content Creation and Campaign Management:

  • Develop tools and training to support the entire sales cycle, including product demonstrations, sales training, and technical content
  • Manage some multimedia content production, including videos, infographics, and case studies


Team Leadership:

  • As the team grows, coach, lead, and build a team of product marketers
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product marketing, making data-driven adjustments to optimize effectiveness



QUALIFICATIONS

  • A masters or PhD in Biology or Molecular Biology is required
  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with a background in product marketing and biology
  • Deep understanding of the life sciences or biotechnology industry
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of crafting compelling content and presenting to executive audiences
  • Strong analytical skills to conduct market research and identify customer needs
  • Ability to develop and execute strategies aligned with business goals
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Stellar project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Experience with digital marketing channels and tools, including social media, email marketing, content marketing, SEO, SEM, and marketing automation platforms
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
  • And, of course, you must love dinosaurs!
