The Business Analyst will work closely with business units and IT teams to ensure data integrity and compliance on Data Governance initiatives
The ideal candidate will have a background in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Analytics
Must have experience with using MS Excel for exploring and analyzing data
Must have experience with collecting, analyzing, and documenting user requirements
This position is Remote, with occasional travel to Miami, FL or Charlotte, NC
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Development team in writing Epics, Themes, and User Stories for building business requirements pertaining to Data Governance initiatives
Elicit and collaborate with Business Stakeholders to define business processes, improvements, and business objectives with a focus on system capabilities and integration points
Analyze current needs, anticipate future needs, and collaborate in solutions integrating various business operations
Ability to listen emphatically to clients and create solutions to exceed their expectations
Work with Analysts and Business Users to translate functional specifications into technical designs for implementation and deployment
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
Create and present solution proposals
Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on expertise being a Business Analyst
2+ years of mastery in MS Excel for exploring and analyzing data
2+ years of experience with collecting, analyzing, and documenting user requirements
Strong business acumen, with analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to understand how decisions impact timelines and budget
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred; equivalent real-world work experience will be considered
Agile/Scrum Certifications are preferred
Knowledge of Agile Software Development practices and Release Management is preferred
Experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Analytics is preferred
