The City of Munroe Falls is seeking a Finance Director. The City is located in Summit County, Ohio with a population of approximately 5,000 residents and operates on a $8.2 million dollar budget. The City offers basic government services including police and fire protection, emergency services, maintenance of roads, wastewater, and public water utilities.


Role Description


This is a full-time on-site role as a Director of Finance at the City of Munroe Falls, located in Munroe Falls, OH. The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and providing financial guidance to the Mayor and City Council.


Qualifications


  • Proven experience in financial management, budget planning, and financial analysis
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Certified Governmental Financial Manager (CGFM) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credentials are a plus
  • Ability to make strategic financial decisions and work collaboratively with the Mayor and City administrators
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, especially Excel
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting and management experience
