Senior Enterprise Architect Lead

Kaimetrix (KMX) is seeking an experienced and highly knowledgeable Senior Enterprise Architect Lead to join our team. This role is critical in shaping the enterprise architecture strategy and aligning IT initiatives with business objectives. The Senior Enterprise Architect Lead will serve as the subject matter expert, providing technical expertise, strategic insight, and guidance on complex problems that require deep understanding of enterprise architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert in enterprise architecture, providing in-depth knowledge and technical analysis of specialized applications and operational environments
• Systems Analysis & Design: Conduct high-level functional systems analysis, design, and integration, offering documentation and implementation advice on complex challenges that require specialized knowledge
• Business & IT Alignment: Facilitate and participate in aligning business and IT strategies through a collaborative, supportive, and consultative approach. Drive the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) digital business strategies while balancing innovation and growth
• Market & Technology Analysis: Analyze business and operating models, market trends, and the technology industry to assess their potential impact on the enterprise's business strategy, direction, and architecture
• Technology-Enabled Business Models: Construct and evaluate technology-enabled business and operating models, providing viable options and visibility into potential execution issues
• Innovation & Experimentation: Lead technology experiments to develop new products and services, integrating the most successful innovations into the organization's steady-state operations
• Security Validation: Validate IT infrastructure and reference architectures against security best practices, recommending changes to enhance security and reduce risks where necessary
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• 8+ years of related experience in platform-based technology strategy or solution delivery
• Proven experience in enterprise architecture, with a strong background in high-level systems analysis and design
• Certifications:
• Prefer one or more of the following certifications:
• TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
• Open CA (Open Certified Architect)
• Zachman Certified Architecture
• Certified Business Architect (CBA)
• Desired but not required
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to align IT strategies with business goals and drive innovation within the organization
• Experience with security best practices and risk management
  

Location: Bethesda, MD (Hybrid - In-office presence required for meetings)
