Summary:
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Lean Manufacturing Manager that leads and designs lean manufacturing goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization. This role will be tasked to manage all the activities for continuous improvement and performance enhancements.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Contribute to creating and implementing best practice Lean vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
Continue new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Lean activities.
Develop a robust continuous improvement plan in partnership with the Management Team and key business stakeholders.
Implement and support organizational cultural change and drive business improvement.
Lead continuous improvement process using Lean Six Sigma technique and employee engagement. Support operational objectives through incremental improvement projects.
Facilitate Kaizen events and manage projects to completion. Follows up to ensure improvements are sustained and performance targets are achieved.
Establish operational performance metrics to provide visibility of performance and efficiency.
Work with Operations and Facilities in establishing a capital plan for new production equipment to support automation and single-piece flow.
Optimize production cell layout, line balancing and process flow to improve productivity.
Develop facility and production cell layouts in CAD to model flow.
Support the development and maturing of the employee training program and standardization of work and documentation of production processes.
Engage with MRP to enhance Kanban for efficient material flow.
Train and educate the workforce on Lean tools and concepts; and serves as main resource for the culture of continuous improvement.
Perform Industrial Engineering analysis of new and established processes and recommend improvements
Required:
Bachelors degree in engineering or industrial engineering
5 plus years of experience in Lean Manufacturing Lead role managing hourly and salaried employees.
Green Belt in Six Sigma
Strong ISO experience able to prepare company for ISO certification
Strong leadership and communication skills
Preferred:
Black Belt in Six Sigma
Salary: $100-$125K
Duration: Permanent
