Job Overview:

Reports To: Global Chief Human Resources Officer (GCHRO)

Location: Eastern Pennsylvania

Job Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Planning:
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.
  • Align HR policies and procedures with the company’s strategic goals and initiatives.

Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on HR policies, employee relations, performance management, and employee development.

Partner with our group HRBP's (global) to innovate talent solutions for the future, align on processes where practicable and be an advocate for technical requirements in the US across the Global organization.

Employee Relations:

  • Act as the point of contact for complex employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Foster a positive working environment by promoting a culture of fairness, respect, and inclusivity.

Talent Management:

  • Lead talent management processes, including succession planning, performance reviews, and career development initiatives.
  • Identify and address talent gaps and workforce planning needs.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilize HR data and analytics to inform strategic decision-making and provide insights into workforce trends.
  • Prepare and present reports on HR metrics, such as turnover, employee satisfaction, and recruitment effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Candidate must have no issue with the often detailed and often heavy lifting that has to be done in HR. Candidate needs to be able to move between the detail (for example: dealt with an engineer wanting to change their working arrangements, an engineer who wants to take FMLA on an intermittent basis, 3 terminations, a one off reward plan for the logistics team, two serious illness issues that need very careful handling and they are just things that have to be done as well as other bigger picture initiatives).

Candidate has to be capable of doing the full scope here without a continuous dependency on Global Head of HR. A successful candidate is someone who the Global Head of HR can depend on to do the job day in day out, ideally with a weekly check in to provide leadership and design actions together but absolutely not the case that the Global Head of HR should have to provide daily direction on the usual stuff that comes up in HR which as you well know can be a curved ball daily.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 7-10 years of HR experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a strategic HRBP role or similar.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive organizational change.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analytics.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Core Competencies:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture and align HR practices with business objectives.
  • Change management: Ability to lead and implement change arising from acquisition and reorganization
  • Commercial Judgement: Ideally, experience of operating in an entrepreneurial environment that is private equity backed and working closely with the business leaders so that HR is deeply integrated into the business.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead by example and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ethical Judgment: Commitment to upholding ethical standards and ensuring compliance with HR practices.
  • Technical knowledge: A strong technical knowledge of HR practices is essential.
