The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate and strategic individual to join us as the Vice President of Philanthropy. In this role, you will lead our fundraising initiatives and oversee our Development team, playing a crucial part in advancing our mission.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy and Execution:

  • Shape and implement fundraising strategies for national and regional donor engagement.
  • Engage in frontline fundraising activities and external engagements.
  • Develop high-quality materials for funders such as strategy decks, grant reports, and proposals.
  • Stay up-to-date on philanthropic trends to enhance our fundraising strategy.

Team Leadership And Development

  • Manage and support a team of at least 5 staff members, leading meetings and capacity-building sessions.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization to boost fundraising efforts.
  • Uphold high performance standards and foster a diverse, inclusive, and supportive team culture.

Development Operations

  • Implement efficient development strategies.
  • Oversee our CRM system for accurate tracking of donor communications and financial records.
  • Enhance planning processes and tracking systems to support effective fundraising.

Cultural Leadership

  • Advocate for our Core Values and commitment to anti-racism.
  • Cultivate a team culture that promotes growth and contribution to our mission.

Experience

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years in nonprofit strategy, fundraising, and operations.
  • Proficiency in development systems, CRM, and gift tracking.
  • Demonstrated success in team management and cross-organizational collaboration.

Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, G-Suite, Slack, and presentation tools.

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to travel approximately once a month and work occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.

Compensation And Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of \(125,000 - \)200,000 based on experience and location. Our benefits package includes paid time off, health insurance, and various perks.
