Water Engineer Manager

T&M Associates is currently seeking a highly motivated Group Manager in our Water Resources Department in Philadelphia, PA. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with in-office collaboration. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive experience in water and wastewater practices, including but not limited to, green stormwater infrastructure, storm and combined sewer collection systems, and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.


Responsibilities

A Group Manager is responsible for the oversight and execution of the daily function of the water resource group in in cooperation with Department Manager, local and regional Operations Managers, Practice Leaders, Client Managers and other stakeholders, including Corporate Partners. This includes specific areas of responsibility, as follows:


  • Project Management and Client Management - The Group Manager will oversee the group’s productivity by coordinating the project team, defining project scope and detailing project plan/budgets. The Group Manager will train staff to establish routines to successfully manage scope, schedules, budgets, timelines to ensure their group achieves KPI goals. The Group Manager will act as a point of contact between higher level clients and T&M. He/she will play a pivotal role in building and sustaining strong relationships for the firm that support new projects and a solid revenue stream.
  • Project Quality and Deliverables - The Group Manager will ensure projects are consistently completed within quality, budget and program expectations and that appropriate project monitoring and control mechanisms are developed and administered. He/she will provide technical reviews of projects to ensure that the deliverables satisfy the client's expectations, as well as maximize features that will reduce construction cost and/or provide other significant benefits to the client.
  • Recruitment, mentoring and development of staff - The Group Manager will take a significant role in the recruitment and development of staff, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems, in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Business Development- The Group Manager must have established business relationships with public and/or private clients related to their groups function. They will pursue opportunities by networking with clients and sourcing new development/acquisition opportunities. The Group Manager will work to support companywide operations and practice plans by establishing revenue and financial performance goals for the group.
