Our local non-profit client seeks a mission-driven Accounting Manager to join their team! The ideal candidate is a natural leader who enjoys a collaborative approach.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
Oversee month-end activities ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and GAAP compliance.
Provide direct supervision to a team of 4 accounting staff.
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and allocations.
Prepare financial statements for each department.
Gather documentation for audits.
Provide backup support for payroll processing.
Accounting Manager Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Prior non-profit, government, senior living, or project-based accounting experience preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong knowledge of GAAP, GL functions, and month-end processes.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of a collaborative and people-focused organization.
Proficiency with ERP systems and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
