Position Overview: The Vice President of Operations will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company. This role involves strategic planning, operational excellence, and leadership across multiple departments, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management within the water treatment or a related industry, with a proven track record of driving growth and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources across all projects.
  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization, optimizing processes, and implementing best practices to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of managers and professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Provide guidance on career development and professional growth.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost control and profitability. Collaborate with the finance department to monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. Act as a primary point of contact for high-profile projects and client escalations.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations are compliant with industry regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols. Champion a safety-first culture within the organization.
  • Business Development Support: Collaborate with the business development team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, including bid preparation and contract negotiations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the water treatment, construction, or a related industry.
  • Proven experience in project management, with a strong understanding of the water treatment industry and regulatory environment.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and P&L responsibility.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
