Business Development Manager

Type: 1099 contract, part-time, 100% remote

Hourly rate: $35-$55 plus commissions (hourly rate varies based on experience)

Hours: 20-40/week, with room to increase hours and comp quickly

Start date: Immediate start

Travel Requirement: Must be willing/able to travel once per month, not extensively

Position Mission: We are looking for an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager for EAC industry, consulting & staffing firm and its third-party clients. The ideal candidate will be qualified, creative, and opportunistic.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing commercial construction leads from commercial real estate brokers, design professionals, lenders, developers and property managers
  • Sourcing public sector leads from various procurement websites with local, state and federal agencies
  • Research, prospecting, qualifying, cultivating and procuring leads
  • Comprehensive customer relationship management, using assigned software (CRM) systems
  • Routine communication with external and internal stake holders
  • Pipeline tracking and reporting
  • Cold calls/contacts in an effort to qualify leads and transition to warm for client stakeholder engagement

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience doing business development and relationship management work in a remote work setting
  • Prior business development experience with commercial general contractor and/or design professional preferred
  • Commercial estimating and preconstruction experience is a bonus
  • Prior experience with CRM required: Hubspot and PipeDrive experience preferred
  • Ability to qualify leads based on technical data and probability assessment
  • Track record and proficiency in professional, verbal and written communication
  • Successful and demonstrable track record of procuring new business opportunities from inception to contract commitment to full life cycle relationship management
  • Cohesive and collaborative team player
