Job Description:


As a Regional HR Business Partner at VGM, you will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of HR functions across our West Coast offices, including locations in Dallas, Houston, Austin, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. This role requires a strategic and hands-on approach to managing recruitment, learning & development, employee relations, performance management, and other HR initiatives. You will work closely with leadership and employees to ensure that HR policies and practices align with the company’s goals and contribute to a positive workplace culture. This role reports directly to the CHRO.


Essential Job Functions:


  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires to meet the staffing needs of the West Coast offices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to branch managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with Regional Manager to ensure full alignment between HR objectives and business priorities.
  • Partner with Payroll & Benefits Manager to ensure full compliance with time sheets, time off request, open enrollment, etc.
  • Partner with Senior HR Manager in NYC to ensure priorities are always aligned.
  • Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans to drive employee growth and organizational success.
  • Execute Corporate initiatives in a timely and sustainable manner.
  • Ensure that all HR practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations, and assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Plan and align new location openings, including HC planning, staffing, etc.
  • Partner with L&D leadership in identifying training needs and coordinate development programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities across the region.
  • Create and effectively utilize HR data to provide insights and recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by leading employee engagement initiatives and supporting VGM’s core values.
  • Curate a strong partnership with all US HR team members.
  • This is not a remote role, must be able to work on site in any of our locations in the region.

Qualifications Needed:


  • 5+ years of Regional HR Business Partner experience, with a strong background in recruitment, employee relations, L&D and performance management.
  • SHRM-CP strongly preferred.
  • Must have worked for operations/asset heavy Companies.
  • Proven ability to work in a multi-state, regional capacity.
  • In-depth understanding of multi-state labor laws is required. California HR experience is strongly desired.
  • High degree of comfort with rapid growth, ambiguity and multiple priorities.
  • Strong data skills required; some AI experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to HR challenges.
  • Bi-lingual preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed to the various West Coast office locations. Travel in this role is approximately 50%. The company reserves the right to modify this percentage based on business needs.
