Store Manager

Our client at LHH is seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our grocery store. The ideal candidate will have a passion for premium products, exceptional customer service, and operational excellence. As a Store Manager, you will ensure that the store runs efficiently, meets sales and profitability goals, and provides a luxurious shopping experience. This role requires strong leadership, an understanding of the grocery retail industry, and the ability to maintain the store’s premium standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

• Oversee all store operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food standards.
• Manage inventory levels, ensure stock rotation, and maintain product quality and availability.
• Develop and implement store policies and procedures in alignment with company standards.

Customer Experience:

• Maintain an exceptional customer service environment, focusing on creating a welcoming and upscale shopping experience.
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
• Train staff to deliver high-level service and product knowledge, ensuring a personalized shopping experience.

Sales and Profitability:

• Drive sales and meet profitability goals through effective merchandising, marketing, and customer engagement.
• Analyze sales trends, customer data, and feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
• Develop strategies for increasing basket size, customer retention, and repeat business.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of store associates, supervisors, and department managers.
• Recruit, train, and mentor staff to ensure a high level of product knowledge and service.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote a positive work culture.

Merchandising and Inventory Control:

• Ensure the store’s layout, displays, and product placements reflect a high-end aesthetic.
• Collaborate with buyers to ensure the availability of premium and specialty products.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stock control, and waste reduction.

Budgeting and Financial Management:

• Manage the store’s budget, ensuring expenses align with targets.
• Monitor financial performance, including sales, margins, and shrinkage, and make adjustments as necessary.
• Prepare financial reports and forecasts for upper management.

Marketing and Community Engagement:

• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote store events, new products, and seasonal specials.
• Build relationships within the local community, fostering partnerships and ensuring the store is positioned as a top-tier destination for luxury grocery shopping.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager, preferably in a high-end grocery, specialty food, or luxury retail environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating an elevated shopping experience.
• Familiarity with premium grocery products, specialty foods, and health and wellness trends.
• Ability to analyze financial data and manage budgets.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of merchandising principles and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in retail management software and point-of-sale systems.

Salary range $75-85k
