We’re seeking a self-starting Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our team and support our long-term growth. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver who can take things and run with them.

This position is a hybrid role in our Burlingame, CA office and reports directly to the Marketing Manager.


Job Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop and execute cutting-edge social media strategies. Plan, create, and schedule engaging posts across all channels.
  • Utilize your keen design eye and proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite to create compelling graphics that captivate our audience.
  • Identify and engage influencers to amplify our message. Track social media metrics to measure success and optimize performance.
  • Respond promptly to comments and messages, update stories as needed, and make real-time edits to ensure high engagement levels.
  • Collaborate on executing the CEO’s social media presence and developing the podcast, driving thought leadership and engagement.
  • Develop and launch innovative fundraising campaigns to support marketing initiatives. Design campaign pages and contribute to event marketing and execution.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager, web designers, and IT support to optimize our website and keep content fresh and engaging.
  • Maintain consistent communication with country managers to gather compelling content that resonates with our global audience.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to digital content organization in Dropbox and Google Drive, ensuring seamless access and retrieval.
  • Be ready to assist with other marketing needs as they arise, showcasing your versatility and commitment to our mission.


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Experience in the nonprofit field is preferred but not required. A genuine passion for making a difference is essential.
  • 4+ years of marketing experience with a comprehensive understanding of digital marketing, design, copywriting, social media, email campaigns, blogs, digital ads, and more. Video production is ideal but not required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering a culture of innovation and mutual support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages that resonate.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365. Familiarity with other relevant tools and platforms is a plus.
  • A meticulous approach to tasks, with stellar follow-up skills to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, or a relevant equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines.

  • Salary: $67,000-$72,000 for a full-time, exempt position. There will be a 90-day initial period during which we would pay $5,583 - $6,000 plus health insurance up to $535/month.


    Location: Burlingame, CA; salary is not guaranteed and will be determined based on experience.
