We are looking for a Purchasing Clerk to join our team in VSL.

What You’ll Be Contributing

• Work closely with corporate purchasing to coordinate the procurement process for IT-related products, including the creation of Purchase Orders & Sales Orders;
• Prepare purchase requisitions including the verification of product specifications, obtaining of price quotations and required departmental and executive approvals;
• Confer with vendors, end users and internal departments to evaluate products based on price, quality, support and availability, ensuring that project constraints of budget and schedule are met;
• Track and monitor purchases from initial order to delivery, updating records and informing internal stakeholders on the status of orders including shipping dates and any anticipated delays;
• Monitor minimum inventory levels to ensure inventory remains stocked;
• Manage all IT subscriptions, ensuring renewals are processed in a timely and efficient manner;
  
  

What Sets You Apart

• College diploma or certificate is preferred
• Two years’ experience in purchasing, procurement with other administrative roles;
• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken);
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Excel, Word and Outlook;
• Possess time-management skills and the ability to set appropriate priorities when multiple tasks are requested;
• High level of discretion and ability to work independently in a highly collaborative environment that requires frequent communication with other departments & vendors;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment;
• Possess effective problem solving skills;
• Highly detail oriented;
