Accountant

The ideal candidate will be involved with, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and much more. Moreover, the candidate must have strong experience with volume rebates, have excellent interpersonal skills and analytical.

Responsibilities

Subject matter expert on the financial impact of Volume Rebate (VR) agreements with vendors.

Ensure the integrity of revenue recognition related to VR at month end close, track rebates received during the month, and become central point of contact for vendors and internal stakeholders.

Monitor and reconcile accuracy of VR program accruals, revenues and payments through direct coordination with vendors; provide any requested information; follow-up on amounts due and not collected from vendors.

Update VR information in Financial Package, maintain all analyses and supporting schedules related to VR (complex Excel workbooks), prepare required journal entries, and reconcile affected GL accounts.

Understand and analyze VR revenue performance as compared to the prior year and work with Operations teams and other internal groups to help to achieve VR growth objectives.

Calculate, prepare, analyze and communicate progress with respect to VR growth programs; build support for year-end accrual.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 1 year of relevant experience;
