The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing professional level duties for two or more functional areas (Employee Relations and Talent Acquisition) of Human Resources. Provides support to functional leaders, along with managing day-to-day activities.

Works effectively within our HRIS Systems and/or ADP to support day to day activities within one or more functional areas.

Uses various software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet, ADP and Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to maintain information and prepare information for others.

Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs; interprets policies to staff, supervisor and /or firm leadership.

Assists HR leadership in planning and implementation of projects to improve overall employee experience, reduce operational costs, and/or streamline and improve business processes; projects may be focused on a particular HR functional area, or multiple functional areas.

Fosters positive employee relations and works in collaboration with manager to solve employee issues.

Keeps abreast of state, federal or local laws, and other government regulations to assist leadership in maintaining compliance within our procedures and business practices.

Assists in evaluation of report, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals; recommends new approaches to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.

Works collectively with HR leadership to manage compliance, including harassment training, posters, HIPAA, etc.

Contributes to, and supports the implementation and administration of various human resource policies, procedures and programs.

Assists with the planning and execution of employee events and activities.

Maintains a courteous, professional demeanor under stress and maintains confidentiality at all times.

Keeps supervisor abreast of current issues and potential problems as they develop, suggests possible solutions and seeks advice as needed.

Compiles personnel records and distributes as requested.

Facilitates exit interviews process, determines reasons behind separation.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. SHRM Certification Preferred.
