Associate Director, Business Intelligence, Systemic Franchise

Position Summary

We are looking for a talented and energetic Associate Director of Business Intelligence who will play a key role in the commercialization of Empaveli. The Associate Director of Business Intelligence will be accountable for partnering closely U.S. commercial teams to generate market-specific insights gathered from primary market research, secondary data analysis, and competitive intelligence to create integrated and actionable insights for key customer/stakeholder groups. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a commercial insights position within a biotech or pharmaceutical company. The Associate Director will report into the Senior Director of BI & Commercial Ops for the systemic franchise and will serve as a key member of the systemic team to drive insights and market knowledge that will be the foundation for commercialization of Empaveli across indications.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Partner with the brand lead and relevant cross-functional stakeholders to design plans and generate insights to inform and support Empaveli strategy.
  • Execute foundational research to support the launch of Empaveli in C3G/IC-MPGN and ongoing insights plan to support Empaveli in PNH.
  • Lead Business Intelligence support for the brand planning process, including market outlook and situation assessments.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the LRP model and provide assumptions that inform the brand forecast.
  • Proactively scope key business questions, generate hypotheses, independently design studies/analyses, and generate insights for the business.
  • Own the annual insights budget for the systemic franchise.

Education, Registration & Certification

  • B.S. degree required (business, biology, or medicine-related degree preferred). Advanced Degree (MBA, PhD, PharmD) preferred

Experience

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medtech industry (client-side experience preferred)

Must Haves

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies
  • Working knowledge of secondary data sources and experience leveraging secondary data to generate insights
  • Demonstrated project and vendor management skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to influence without authority
  • Strategic and Analytical Mindset
  • Strong problem solving/framing abilities
  • Excellent communication skills; able to create simplicity from complexity, expert narrative development/storytelling
  • Managerial courage: ability to challenge and persuade
  • Proven ability to engage with business unit and executive leadership

Preferred

  • Hematology / Nephrology experience
  • Experience in Competitive Intelligence, Commercial Assessments and/or Consulting

Travel Requirements

  • Domestic and international travel will be required in this role (up to 25%)
