Our client is a top tier global law firm with offices in over 30 countries.


Currently, they are looking to add to their Finance team - and seeking a driven, innovative and collaborative Senior Manager of FP&A to join their US operations.


This is a newly created role reporting into the US Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and the US CFO.


The Senior Manager, FP&A will work closely with the US Senior Pricing and Commercial Manager, the Finance Operations teams (Billing), US Head of Compliance and US Controllers as well as the US Department Heads and Partners.


Responsibilities:

  • Managing the investment planning cycle for practice groups - and updating forecasts on an ongoing basis
  • Preparing annual income, headcount and equity budgets for practice groups
  • Monitoring and reporting progress against targets
  • Providing timely and relevant financial information for decision making
  • Developing profitability forecasting based on multiple levers/potential outcomes
  • Offering advice to optimize desired outcomes
  • Ensure buy in and trust from practice group leaders
  • Serve as a strategic partner to practice group leaders
  • Managing the US annual partner compensation process
  • Providing training and mentoring
  • Influencing resource management through financial presentations
  • Championing the use of alternative resources including utilizing support at other offices and divisions
  • Providing financial support for internal and external client meetings
  • Ad hoc reporting, analysis and projects


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar
  • Advanced Degree is a plus
  • 10+ years of Financial experience
  • Law Firm / Legal experience is highly preferred, but not required
  • Experience working with internal/external stakeholders and the ability to present financial information to finance & non-finance individuals
  • Ability to foster partnerships across departments and with practice group leaders in order to effectively influence business
  • Strong communication and problem solving
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint



This is a hybrid role based out of their Midtown, Manhattan office.


Compensation is commensurate with experience.
