Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Risk Manager to join our team. The Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across our organization, ensuring adherence to risk management policies and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to implement robust risk management strategies.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Risk Assessment and Analysis: Identify, assess, and prioritize risks across various functions and departments within the organization. Conduct quantitative and qualitative risk analysis, including risk modeling, scenario analysis, and stress testing to evaluate potential impacts on business operations and financial outcomes.
  • Risk Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks. Work closely with department heads and senior management to implement controls, policies, and procedures aimed at reducing exposure to risks while optimizing business opportunities.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to risk management. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices to maintain effective risk governance frameworks and practices.
  • Risk Reporting and Communication: Prepare comprehensive risk reports and dashboards for senior management and board of directors, highlighting key risk exposures, mitigation efforts, and recommendations for risk management enhancements. Communicate risk findings and trends effectively to stakeholders.
  • Risk Culture and Awareness: Promote a strong risk-aware culture across the organization through training programs, workshops, and ongoing communication. Foster a proactive approach to risk identification and management among employees at all levels.
  • Incident Response and Crisis Management: Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures to manage and mitigate risks during emergencies or crises. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure timely and effective response actions.
  • Risk Monitoring and Surveillance: Monitor and analyze risk indicators and key risk metrics to proactively identify emerging risks or trends. Implement risk monitoring tools and systems to enhance surveillance capabilities and facilitate real-time risk assessment.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree (MBA, MSc Risk Management) and professional certifications (e.g., CRM, FRM) are preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or related roles within the financial services industry or a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel III, GDPR, SOX).
  • Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in risk assessment tools, statistical analysis, and risk modeling techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex risk concepts and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership and project management abilities, with a track record of successfully implementing risk management initiatives and driving organizational change.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to anticipate risks and develop proactive solutions.

Compensation

  • The base salary for a Risk Manager typically ranges from $90,000 to $140,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Performance-based bonuses and incentives may range from 10% to 30% of base salary, based on individual and company performance metrics.
