Head of Corporate and Integrated Communications

As Velocity Global's Head of Corporate and Integrated Communications, you will create a comprehensive corporate communications strategy to enhance Velocity Global's brand reputation and visibility. You'll have expertise in PR/Media Relations, Analyst Relations, Social Media, and Crisis/Reputation Management and providing strategic direction in these areas that align with our goals. You have a track record in managing integrated communications for a global organization and expertise in providing direction for our strategies that align with our global goals.

You will report to the Global Head of Marketing.

You will follow our remote work model for the United States.

You Will:

  • Integrated communications strategy: Develop and implement an integrated communications strategy that aligns with our business objectives of solidifying and expanding our category leadership and extending our industry reach. Monitor and analyze media and analyst coverage, industry trends, and customer perceptions to inform communications plans & executions.
  • Press and media relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Develop and execute media outreach plans to secure positive coverage and oversee the creation of high-quality content for press releases. Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company, managing media inquiries and interview requests.
  • Analyst relations: Develop and manage relationships with industry analysts to ensure accurate representation of the company's products and strategies. Coordinate analyst briefings, inquiries, and research engagements and oversee the development of compelling AR briefing materials. Monitor and report on analyst coverage and sentiment, providing insights to inform business strategy.
  • Strategic narrative and thought leadership: Collaborate with marketing partners (Brand & Content and Product Marketing) and across company stakeholders (GTM, Sales, Product & CS) to develop overarching narrative, storyline and execution into Thought leadership programs such as Exec Speaker Series, Op-Eds etc.
  • Social media: Develop and execute a social media strategy in partnership with the paid digital team to enhance brand visibility, engagement and reach across multiple social platforms. Oversee the creation and distribution of social media content, ensuring alignment with corporate messaging, brand guidelines and paid digital social strategies. Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and potential issues, providing timely responses and engagement.
  • Crisis management: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to protect and defend the company's reputation. Provide strategic counsel to executive leadership during crisis situations, ensuring. Monitor and manage potential issues that could impact the company's reputation.
  • Leadership and team development: Design, build and lead a high-performing team. Foster a commitment to Velocity Global's values and culture. Provide mentorship, professional development, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Agencies and vendor management: Manage PR agency, Analyst vendors and advisers, and other vendor logistics for one-off PR, AR and Thought Leadership events.
  • Budget management: Develop and manage the corporate communications budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources towards PR, AR, Social, and Thought Leadership initiatives.


You have:

  • 10+ years of corporate communications experience with a proven track record of success at B2B global tech/ SaaS companies and smaller dynamic startups.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. Advanced degree.
  • HR tech industry experience and background.
  • Managed relationships with executive leadership team and external customers & partners.
  • Customer focused mindset and passionate about providing exceptional customer experience.
  • Excellent media relations skills and experience serving as a company spokesperson.
  • Experience in analyst relations and social media management is required.
