About this Opportunity:

The Production Operations Manager role involves implementing efficient processes and practices across the organization. In this role, you will formulate strategies, improve performance and ensure compliance. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining compliance, efficiency, and profitability during our business operations.
This role will be responsible over two department operations across 3 shifts.

Responsibilities: 

Ensure Efficient Operations:

• Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations.
• Be responsible for factory output and quality.
• Lead and develop direct reports to create a high-performing, customer-centric operation.
• LEAN manufacturing background is an advantage.

Strategic Initiatives:

• Develop and implement strategic initiatives, including process improvement, supplier development, and outsourcing.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Form a close relationship with the on-site product development team.
• Support new product development and introductions.
• Maintain close communication and collaboration with the headquarters.

Compliance and Efficiency:

• Ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective manner.
• Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
• Formulate strategic and operational objectives.
• Examine financial data to improve profitability.
• Manage budgets and forecasts.
• Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Supervise a team of 50.
• Interview and train staff.
• Mentor team members.
• Find ways to increase the quality of customer service.

 

Requirements / Skills:

• 5+ years of experience an Operations Manager (or similar) in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience in a machine shop / sheet metal fabrication environment, preferred
• Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management in a Machine Shop.
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
• Familiarity with business and financial principles.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong leadership ability.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
