OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Corporate Finance will be responsible for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Treasury Operations. Partnering with senior business leaders and financial sponsors, this key role is charged with empowering the Spectrum Vascular business to achieve financial objectives and managing operational and financial processes. The Director, Corporate Finance must understand the operations of the business and how the financial systems, accounting, capital structure, and operating policies all interrelate to help ensure the business achieves both short and long-term goals. This individual will guide the development of a financial strategy to include revenue, profit, balance sheet and cash flow maximization.

The individual is responsible for driving planning/budgeting/forecasting processes, treasury/cash operations and ensuring the financial plans meet the expectations of internal stakeholders and private equity firm. S/he will be expected to work effectively across the company, evidenced by strong business partnership with the FP&A, accounting, sales, marketing, IT, operations, and the business development functions. This position is expected to challenge and support the business, increasing business' ability to anticipate issues and identify opportunities, and drive informed data-driven decision making through diligent financial management. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, strategic thinker, as well as strong analytical leader with a proven track record of success in finance leadership roles. Experience in PE owned, rapid growth through acquisition, medical device/ pharmaceutical, or biotech company environment is desired.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Lead the development and execution of the annual operating plan, quarterly forecast cycle and five-year strategic plan, ensuring alignment with business leadership and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage internal financial and business reporting to provide management and Board of Directors with timely and useful information to facilitate business decisions and drive business performance. Identify business, financial trends, and variances to plan.
  • Provide financial modeling, financial analysis, forecasting, and support other ad-hoc financial projects.
  • Drive the implementation and operationalization of key performance metrics.
  • Work with Senior Leadership to establish annual financial targets and goals for the business.
  • Support CFO in ensuring efficient use of capital, supporting cash management, debt compliance and banking relationships.
  • Develop and maintain debt compliance and detailed cash flow models. Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve planning and reporting processes. Benchmark performance against competition with available information.
  • Develop tools to drive visibility into opportunities to help reduce costs, grow revenues, and produce high-quality financial information.
  • Build relationships and partnerships across departments to thoroughly understand how all the pieces fit together, how information is used and can be used by various functions within the Spectrum Vascular.
  • Serve as a business partner to the business, supporting business leadership in assessing strategic options, analyzing data, and providing recommendations.
  • Support inorganic growth as a key member of the acquisition integration team and leader of the value creation process.
  • Partner with financial sponsor on key business / financial initiatives.
  • Build strong executive partnerships with the executive team and other key leaders.
  • Disruptive thinker who has a willingness to challenge the status quo and continuous improvement mindset.

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in an accounting or finance discipline; MBA strongly preferred.
  • 6-8+ years relevant experience with minimum 5 years of prior FP&A experience.
  • Previous finance experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotech company is highly desirable.
  • Private Equity experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of integrity and a strong sense of urgency and a results orientation.
  • Strong track record of financial process improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills. Financial planning and modelling skills are important.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in using financial management systems and ERP platforms (Dynamics).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
