Overview

The Director of Clinical Development Strategic Initiatives will work with the Chief Development Officer and the Leadership Team of the Global Clinical Development Organization to provide critical support on continuing to build an organization that seeks to improve and to optimize value added forums, initiatives, and projects that enhance development of potential small molecule and biological medicines that transform lives of patient with serious diseases. Hybrid role, with 2-3 days a week in our Bridgewater, NJ HQ

Responsibilities

  • This person will play a key role in developing and driving projects within Global Clinical Development organization.
  • They will collaborate outside of the organization to ensure alignment with company priorities, while gaining insights to the organizational strategy and direction.
  • Working with key stakeholders across the organization, this individual will have oversight in building materials and support Global Clinical Development Leadership in the development of presentations for Board of Directors and other executive level meetings.
  • Initial focus will be to refine and further develop the Clinical Protocol Review Committee for the Global Clinical Development organization that will include Phase 1-3b studies.
  • Regular oversight of the Clinical Protocol Review Committee that includes organization of meetings (preparatory work, coordination and follow through) to ensure timely and quality execution.
  • Refine and oversee coordination and execution of the monthly Integrated Development Forum for the Global Clinical Development organization including preparatory work, coordination and follow through
  • Works autonomously while exhibiting Insmed values and partnering with the CDO to enhance communication and information flow cross-functionally and with Global Project Teams
  • Collaboration with the CDO Leadership Team and with Group Leads to support other organizational initiatives and projects as they arise with the growth of the company

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with role(s) in functions within pharmaceutical or biotech companies that are directly related to drug development and clinical trials
  • Fundamental understanding of GCP, GLP, and medical research ethics
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher required; Master’s degree level or higher preferred.
  • Experience supporting or working in complex teams, projects, and initiatives in biotech or pharma
  • Excellent time management and communication skills with excellent skills of working with Microsoft platform and applications
  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional internal teams
  • Excellent diplomacy skills and the desire to play an active role behind-the-scenes to refine plans.
  • Strong organizational abilities

Salary Range

$179,000 - $250,800 a year
