Our programming aligns with our core verticals: Leadership, Wellness, Wealth, Philanthropy, Entrepreneurship, Arts & Entertainment, and Luxury Travel, and centers the holistic professional and social needs of our members.
  • ONE NEXT LEAGUE is our amazing professional network focused on career, wellness and entrepreneurship exclusively for emerging Black and Afro-Latina women who occupy roles up to the director level. We offer resources, counsel, opportunities, and spaces for connection and growth.
  • ONE SUITE RETREAT is our retreat and conference for C-Suite & VP leaders and founders who are interested in an executive retreat that’s completely centered around the Black experience and culture. It’s a unique three plus days of social activities for professionals completely focused on leisure, connecting, entertainment, and wellness.


The Leagues Group is growing and we have an incredible new opportunity for a highly skilled, high performing, project management guru, who’s committed to excellence and connects strongly with our brands and mission. Here’s an overview of this exciting new opportunity:


The Role

We’re excited to expand and bring on an exceptional strategic leader to step into the Chief of Staff role. You will serve as the right hand to our CEO, providing high-level support across all aspects of the organization. You will be a critical driver of program development, strategy execution, growth, partnership development, and vendor management, while ensuring the smooth operation of our organization. This is a Director/Senior Director level opportunity reporting directly to the CEO. 

*This role will initially be part-time before transitioning to full-time.


The Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with the CEO to develop and implement long-term strategic plans; Act as a sounding board for the CEO on new ideas and initiatives; Conduct market research, competitive analysis, data and insights to support recommendations, decision making and identify growth opportunities
  • Program Development & Management: Oversee the development and execution of cross-functional programs, initiatives and deliverables, ensuring alignment with company goals; Manage budgets and resources efficiently
  • Vendor & Contractor Management: Oversee the management of external vendors and contractors, ensuring quality performance and value for money
  • Executive Support: Serve as the primary point of contact between the CEO and other stakeholders, manage and streamline information flow to and from the CEO, Oversee the CEO's schedule, ensuring efficient prioritization and use of time; Prepare briefing materials and presentations for the CEO; represent the CEO internally and externally as needed
  • Event Management: Oversee and execute company events and programming, which may include extensive travel (domestic: 85% / international: 15%)
  • Internal Operations: Lead and support internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration across departments
  • Growth: Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain new members and program attendees reaching/exceeding targets set; Analyze trends and identify areas for improvement


The Candidate

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven track record as a Chief of Staff or a similar/relevant senior leadership role developing and implementing successful business strategies
  • Proven success directly supporting, reporting to and partnering with a C-suite executive(s) in a non-(solely) administrative capacity
  • Comfortable and experienced presenting to executive level stakeholders
  • Experience managing and developing individuals (team management is a plus)
  • Experience in the luxury services, hospitality, corporate events, or entertainment industries is a plus

  • Strong understanding, passion and interest in Black culture, especially as it relates to Black women

  • Excellent ability to collaborate, share ideas, share feedback and elicit engagement
  • Able to build trust and rapport internally and externally with executives, decision-makers and gatekeepers
  • Highly analytical with a strong understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Strong comfort, understanding and proficiency with technology and common platforms (e.g. Google Suite, Slack, social media)
  • Able to travel extensively as needed; must own a current passport and driver's license (enrolment in TSA PreCheck and Global Entry, a plus)
