Discovery Senior Living is hiring a Vice President of Human Resources Operations.

The Vice President of Human Resources Operations leads the implementation, administration and quality assurance of operational programs, initiatives, and processes used to deliver HR programs and projects. Identifies opportunities to improve the team member experience. Works across the human resources function as a strong collaborator with stakeholders to provide consultation, process design, and project management of HR programs, implementations, and initiatives. Oversees Regional HR Directors, HR Business Assimilation and Optimization. Leads the integration of HR practices, policies, and systems for new business acquisitions and divestures. Act as alternate to SVP of Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as alternate to Senior Vice President of Human Resources.
  • Oversees the day to day activities, projects and initiatives of the Regional HR Director teams.
  • Provides guidance and consultation on employment related matters.
  • Provides support and guidance to Division HR Directors with dotted line reporting.
  • Representing the Human Resources Business Process and Optimization teams, works with stakeholders, identifies opportunities for process optimization, automation, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Leads the identification and implementation, administration, and execution of HR programs and projects.
  • Develops and reports on key human resources KPIs.
  • Partner closely with the business to ensure alignment on proposed processes, working through change management, training, and education to ensure new ways or working are adopted and implemented.
  • Ensure processes are documented, simple to follow and aid in easy decision making and process alignment.
  • Lead a continuous improvement strategy across the function utilizing data and stakeholder feedback.
  • Lead people analytics strategy and drive development of roadmap for leveraging people analytics to drive business outcomes.
  • Working with HR functional leaders and IT, provide leadership support for the implementation of new technology and business process optimization and automation.
  • In partnership with the IT, consult and advise on enterprise HR technology needs and lead the development of business case, RFP, and selection process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and recommending disciplining when necessary if set goals are not met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required and Advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR highly desired
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in human resources leadership role.
  • Demonstrated resilience in fast moving, changing, entrepreneurial and growing organization with the ability to work with ambiguity.
  • Experience working within matrixed organizations.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing employment policies and practices.
  • Ability to energize, inspire & motivate a team to exceed objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Exceptional influencing skills, driven, strong functional knowledge & the ability to clearly communicate.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
