Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Sales and Customer Success to lead and manage our high-performing sales and support team in Scottsdale, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, a passion for coaching and developing sales talent, and the ability to drive exceptional results in a fast-paced environment. The manager will spend 50% of their time selling and 50% managing the Sales Team, ensuring that both personal and team sales targets are met. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned sales professional with a background in direct mail marketing, real estate or related fields.

Job Location: This role is based in Scottsdale, AZ and will lead the sales and support team at Wise Pelican, which includes domestic and international team members. The manager and some team members work from Scottsdale, AZ so the manager needs to be proficient in leading a hybrid team in which some team members work on-site and others are based internationally.

We are growing rapidly and need a leader who will play a key strategic role in growing our team from 8 to 20 team members in the next 12-18 months.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Leadership and Strategy:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of sales representatives to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies accordingly.

2. Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through a consultative sales approach.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Create a vision for realtors on how to build their business through consistent advertising programs.
  • Promote the benefits of our monthly subscription model, highlighting the continuous value it offers for direct mail marketing initiatives.

3. Team Management and Development:

  • Recruit, onboard, and train new sales team members.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Conduct regular call coaching with the sales and support team.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivating team environment, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.

4. Client Engagement and Customer Success:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Participate in direct client calls and meetings to support the sales team and close high-value deals.
  • Work closely with the customer success team to ensure seamless onboarding and continuous support for clients.

5. Operational Excellence:

  • Implement and optimize sales processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage sales forecasting and reporting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and best practices.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in the marketing technology or real estate industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team and provide world class customer support.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
