RAIN Group, an award-winning global provider of innovative sales training and performance improvement services, is seeking a dynamic and results-drive Director of Client Engagement to add to our expanding team.


In this role, you will be at the forefront of managing large, complex global client accounts while simultaneously leveraging your commercial acumen to expand our footprint and drive business growth. You will be responsible for ensuring the success of our client relationships, playing a critical role on cross-functional teams, and supporting sales efforts that contribute to the company’s growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end journey of large, complex global client engagements, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of results.
  • Serve as the primary relationship leader, establishing and strengthening relationships with client executives, and driving change management.
  • Drive renewals, and expansion of existing accounts, supporting sales negotiations and maintaining premium pricing.
  • Identify potential new business in your managed accounts through effective stakeholder management and proactive needs discovery efforts and architect custom solutions that leverage the full spectrum of our offerings.
  • Take ownership of the client process, from initial handover through to new business identification or contract re-negotiation and closing, while ensuring seamless leadership of the account.
  • Lead change management planning, communications development, and execution for assigned engagements.
  • Identify and proactively mitigate risks to project success while managing client expectations regarding deliverables and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with internal teams including sales, marketing, and client success to implement innovative solutions tailored to client needs.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10-15 years of professional experience in sales, client management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in a leadership role managing large-scale client engagements and driving business growth.
  • Extensive experience in sales or sales enablement with a strong commercial acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to support the sale in a consultative, client-focused manner, particularly within enterprise-level sales.
  • Consistently able to identify, synthesize and respond to the emerging needs and changing priorities of clients, particularly in high pressure environments.
  • Strong project management skills with a high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present confidently to C-level executives.
  • Experience working in a remote environment and leading cross-functional teams to achieve success.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated starting base salary for this role is $125,000 - $135,000.

Exact compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geographic location.
