A little bit about our team:

The Business & Legal Affairs department provides global business and legal support to Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA), which offers distribution, sales, and label services to a wide variety of third party record labels and artists.

Your role:

The Associate Manager will play a crucial role in driving A&R communications and streamlining the deal making process across ADA. This role will have a direct supporting relationship to the Vice President of Content Acquisition, will work closely with Legal and Business Affairs and Finance teams, and will collaborate with several other departments and global ADA team members.

Here you’ll get to:

  • Cultivate a network of contacts within the independent music community, and make creative connections with a goal of drawing incremental business
  • Track deal flow across all active conversations, coordinating information and deliverables across teams
  • Obtain, submit, and file financial approvals through all corporate delegation levels
  • Research and circulate potential label and artist details for ADA staff as preparation for wider pitch meetings
  • Produce and maintain reports and charts to communicate deal strategies and track progress
  • Work with the finance teams on deal modelling, collaborating on comparable artists, growth trends and projections
  • Support the business and legal affairs team throughout the negotiation process to ensure accuracy across deal terms and structures
  • Attend concerts, studio sessions and playbacks as needed

About you:

  • You are highly organized with a strong attention to detail and follow up
  • You enjoy working in a fast paced work environment requiring strong multitasking skills, excellent time management, and an ability to self-prioritize your workload
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and are a strategic thinker who is results-oriented
  • You have excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • You are experienced with Microsoft office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • You have the ability to track a large volumes of data surrounding of deals, conversations, and partnerships, with the aim of achieving a mutually beneficial outcome for all
  • You are a problem solver, with the ablilty to escalate items as needed in order to work through roadblocks and accelerate timelines
  • You are experienced in maintaining highly confidential and sensitive information

We’d love it if you also had:

  • A college degree preferred
  • Experience with/in the independent distribution space
  • You have 1-3 previous years of experience in a contract administration, finance, or A&R role

Salary Range

$63,000 - $70,000 Annually

Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
