Description

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct all operational aspects of the Part 145 Repair Station, ensuring adherence to FAA regulations and organizational policies
  • Lead and develop the operations team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Work in tandem with Human Resources to manage staffing effectively
  • Supervise Director-level positions, including Directors of Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Materials, with the Director of Quality reporting directly to this role

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment with the organization's broader goals
  • Partner with the Training Manager to guarantee comprehensive staff training
  • Champion a safety-first and compliance-oriented culture
  • Coordinate with IT to maximize technological efficiencies in operations
  • Foster innovation and optimize processes within the repair station

Quality Assurance Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement strategies to boost efficiency, minimize costs, and elevate service quality
  • Maintain rigorous compliance with all relevant CFRs, emphasizing FAA Part 145 requirements
  • Analyze operational metrics for trends and improvement opportunities

Quality Control Responsibilities

  • Oversee quality control systems, upholding the highest service and safety standards

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Deep knowledge of FAA regulations, especially CFRs relevant to Part 145 Repair Stations
  • Demonstrated success in operations management and leadership
  • Strong grasp of quality control principles in aviation maintenance
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable to a dynamic environment

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation management or military equivalent, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Proven experience in aviation maintenance, particularly as an Accountable Manager in a Part 145 Repair Station
  • A&P license preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, lie, and kneel in awkward positions and spaces
  • Must be able to lift and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds at a time
  • Must have visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects
