We are a rapidly scaling Series A GreenTech startup focused on transforming how businesses manage their energy consumption. Our platform leverages cutting-edge technology to optimize energy usage, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact. As the VP of Engineering, you’ll be instrumental in leading our engineering team and driving technological innovation to support sustainable energy practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale our engineering team to develop and deliver advanced energy management solutions that enhance efficiency and sustainability.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment between technical execution and business objectives.
• Define and execute the technical roadmap, making strategic decisions about architecture, cloud infrastructure, and system scalability.
• Implement best practices in engineering processes, ensuring high-quality product delivery and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and grow a fully remote engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
• Oversee the development lifecycle from planning to deployment, ensuring smooth execution across teams and time zones.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in GreenTech, applying relevant advancements to maintain a competitive edge and drive innovation.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Mandatory experience in GreenTech, specifically in IOT or energy management
• Proven success in both BigTech and startup environments, particularly with scaling engineering teams and building high-impact systems.
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure, system architecture, and scalable software solutions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence key stakeholders.
• A passion for working in a dynamic, mission-driven environment with a focus on sustainability and environmental impact.

Bonus Points

• Experience scaling engineering teams from Series A to later stages.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency regulations, renewable energy technology, or environmental data analytics.
• Enthusiasm for tackling global sustainability challenges through innovative GreenTech solutions.
