The Senior Manager, PMO & Quality Lead will be responsible for overseeing the Quality function and ensuring that all engagements (Solutions and Managed Services) are delivered with exceptional quality. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Senior Manager, PMO & Quality Lead will work closely with the PMO and various departments to develop and implement comprehensive plans and processes and enhance and accelerate the satisfaction and growth of our client base. This role will also be responsible for managing quality across all Covenants’ solution areas: Modern Work, Infrastructure, Security, Digital App and Innovation, Data Analytics, and Business Applications including Dynamics Finance, Business Central (BC) and Customer Experience (CE). Additionally, this role will include requirements elicitation and management responsibilities in support of the quality objectives of each project. This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to be self-motivated with a desire to learn new and market leading technologies.


The work location for this role is flexible if approved by Covenant except this position may not be performed remotely from Colorado and California.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements comprehensive quality plans and processes for overseeing, coordinating, and reporting on IT projects.
  • Support the maturation of delivery methodologies including Agile, RUP (waterfall) and Sure Step.
  • Supports a team of project managers, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to succeed.
  • Design and manage project plans in collaboration with Covenant Architects.
  • Establishes policies and procedures for solution delivery, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
  • Analyzes financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation, to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Supports the deployment of change management programs and strategic & business planning processes, in alignment with the PMO framework.
  • Provides enterprise updates on project portfolio performance and enterprise resource management.
  • Collaborates with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
  • Ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Ensures that all managed services engagements deliver quality proactively with ever maturing processes, competencies and technologies.
  • Communicates project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Implements standardized project management and business analysis practices.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to the client and other members of the team.
  • Possesses a professional, dependable attitude that is oriented towards finding and keeping customers, with a cooperative and positive spirit in working with other team members.
  • Provides a high level of client satisfaction which exceeds standard levels of performance.
  • Completes project work within the estimated timeframe while accurately fitting the client’s expressed needs and goals.
  • Continually increase business and technical knowledge.
  • Utilizes industry-accepted project management best practices and firm-established project management processes to direct project planning, execution and control.
  • Manages the defined project scope to ensure on time delivery of the overall project to the required standard and scope and within the approved budget according to agreed project outcomes.
  • Tracks all project costs against the approved total project budget and provides project cost estimates and budget forecasts to leadership covering all project tracks (business & technical).
  • Manages the delivery of project artifacts consistent with the project plan and budget.
  • Ensures the consistency and quality of the project deliverables.


Qualifications:

Education, License or Certification:

Bachelor of Science in Business, Computer and Information Technology or related field or equivalent work history in technical field preferred

Certification in Microsoft products a plus.

Professional Certification (PMP, CAPM, Scrum) is preferred but not required


Experience:

8-10 years in project management, with a minimum of five years in a senior quality or PMO supervisory role

3-5 years of managing projects for a management consulting firm

Experience with financial oversight, process improvement, risk and issue mitigation, and project success metrics

Experience in quality and risk management

Experience in managing and deploying medium to large sized business projects involving significant software application development and deployment

Familiarity and practical experience with multiple development methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, Sure Step, Hybrids, etc.

Familiarity and practical experience working within a PMO based environment
