LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a client in the Fort Lee, NJ area to fill a Procurement Manager Position. The position is 100% on-site. Compensation for the role varies based on experience but will range from $95-$105K plus a health insurance package.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Manage the Procurement functions and provide support and assistance to internal end user customers. Coordinate the purchases of all supplies, equipment, and services for the medical center. Responsible for assisting with any issues surrounding the purchasing functions and specifically manages the capital equipment purchases; obtain, review and negotiates contracts for approval; supervise the maintenance of PMM including charge codes and other issues relating to systems for the buying process. Supervise the purchasing office and its functions.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and oversee the Transactional Purchasing Processes for EH for Buyers, Sr. Buyers in the automated system. Develops Purchasing Department Policy and Procedures.
  • Data Analytics
  • Review of Group Purchasing Contracts and Savings Opportunities
  • Participation in projects for Cost Savings
  • Price Indexing
  • Co-chairs Value Analysis Committee/s to support clinical introduction of new products, review of product complaints, review of supply shortages and substitutions. Receives Requests, Contracts for Trials. Prepares Cost Analyses and Supports Clinical Quality Metrics. Supports Standardization. Reviews Trials and Evaluations for Outcomes.
  • Ensures the Vendormate system is operating at the front desk of the hospital for Vendors Sign In to Access appointments
  • Assists Director in hiring, training and evaluating personnel within the Purchasing department
  • Coach and discipline staff; manage internal staff relations.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to align with department goals.
  • Works in Tandem with Systems Analyst to establish rules regarding ongoing system maintenance, system enhancements, e- commerce advancement and contract pricing integrity
  • Meets regularly with Distribution Partners to review ongoing and new business, performance, supply shortages, reviews Optifreight Program re: Shipping Costs.
  • Develops and maintains good relationships with End User Customer Departments.
  • Reviews when customer requests services and maintenance agreements for the Medical Center and Off-Site Businesses.
  • Co-ordinates and develops the Capital Acquisition process to establish a flow of capitals to Capital Committee. Encourages the use of the Electronic Capital Requisition process.
  • Obtains Quotations on products/services/equipment for customers as requested. Check Group Purchasing Buys and Contracts for competitive bids.
  • Prepares Cost Analyses related to contracts, validations of IHN dollars for projects,
  • Supervises, communicates and maintains files on FDA recalls and product complaints.
  • Participates with Director in staff development.


  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Infor/Lawson Materials Management information system a plus.
  • Knowledge of ERP system preferred.
  • 3- 5 years required in healthcare purchasing
  • Strong negotiation skills
