Salary Range

$91,000.00 - $119,000.00

What’s the role?

We are looking for a Strategy & Operations Coordinator to support operational excellence for 3 functions within the Marketing and Operations (COMO) Org at Etsy - (1) Growth Marketing (2) Product & Retention Marketing (3) Brand Marketing & Communications. This role will support critical business and organizational operations, enabling the Marketing teams to operate efficiently to achieve their strategic goals. The ideal candidate is familiar with marketing functions, highly motivated, analytical, process oriented, and an excellent communicator (written and verbal).

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Strategy and Operations Manager, COMO. This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What’s this team like at Etsy?

The Strategy & Operations team drives strategy development and builds systems to enable investment in, accountability for, and teams’ understanding of that strategy. This role is on the Strategy & Operations team supporting the Marketing Functions within the Operations and Marketing Org (COMO)

What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Design processes, tools, and operating cadences to achieve organizational outcomes for the Growth Marketing, Product & Retention Marketing and Brand Marketing & Communication teams.
  • Support the Marketing Leadership team to plug into company level business processes such as annual and quarterly business planning (AOP and OKRs), quarterly business reviews (CEO review), etc by coordinating content and managing deadlines.
  • Create, maintain, and implement operating rhythms for Marketing Leaders.
  • Schedule, attend, and note-take at Marketing Leadership meetings as a thought-partner. This includes taking notes, scheduling follow ups, and being the “eyes and ears” for the Marketing Leadership.
  • Provide calendaring support for the (3) Marketing Leaders.
  • Facilitate information sharing from Marketing Leaders to their teams to ensure transparency and clarity on each function’s strategy, progress and broader business context.
  • Maintain all communication channels including: Google distribution lists and Slack channel lists with new joiners, exits, and org changes, etc.
  • Support team gatherings in partnership with COMO Executive Assistant and the Internal Gathering team.
  • Ad-hoc program management to stand-up a new process or program.
  • Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require! You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsy's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience developing processes and tools to enable smooth operations.
  • Familiarity with the marketing function or direct experience in a marketing team.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to define, organize and operationalize a plan to tackle nebulous challenges.
  • Ability to maintain order, focus and calm in times of ambiguity and changing priorities.
  • A trust in and commitment to Etsy’s vision, mission and values.
  • This role supports senior leadership and will require you to flex in multiple directions as priorities shift - having a positive, roll-up-your-sleeves and get the work done approach will set you up for success in this role.
