Hamilton Health Box (HHB) is a rapidly growing private equity backed healthcare startup operating hybrid telemedicine-enabled primary care clinics for small and medium businesses across the country. Our goal is to find high potential individuals to drive a high-touch, low-cost healthcare experience for all of our patients and clients.

Position Summary

The Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining physical Hamilton Health Box properties, plant, and equipment. The Facilities Manager will report to VP, Operations and work in partnership with Clinical Operations and IT leadership. This position is accountable for the implementation and management of all Hamilton Health Box properties, which includes permitting, utilities, building/vehicle/equipment installation and maintenance, and keeping facilities up to code. Property types range from renovated office space to small modular buildings. Lastly, the Facilities Manager will provide support in regard to technology solutions (telehealth units, telephony, etc.).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages project plan for clinic implementation at new sites, beginning with land procurement and ending with installation of FF&E.
  • Assists with designing and planning facilities layouts so that medical clinical staff and clinical operations support staff are able to perform their duties safely and effectively while meeting regulatory standards.
  • Responsible for ongoing and recurring real estate permitting, licensing and renewals.
  • Evaluates, vets and selects vendors needed for implementation and ongoing maintenance for clinics.
  • Oversees the implementation of a preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Plans, schedules, supervises and participates in the day-to-day general maintenance and repair of all HHB property, plant, and equipment to ensure employees and patients have access to high-quality when rendering or receiving care.
  • Report and document maintenance activities in compliance with company policy and regulations
  • Ability to supervise, prioritize, motivate, monitor and evaluate the work of direct reports.
  • Ability to negotiate, supervise, evaluate, and monitor contract maintenance services for effectiveness.
  • Coordinates with local vendors for property, plant, and equipment maintenance as required to ensure uninterrupted clinical operations during hours of operation (e.g. coordinating with local plumbers, electricians, and/or general contractors as required).
  • Ensures all equipment remains in proper working order and compliance with standard operating procedures and safety standards.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to assist with professional development of direct reports.
  • Supports the maintenance and support of equipment and software.
  • Communicates across departments.
  • Travel: Role will require approximately 50% travel within all markets of operation and corporate geographies as required.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

Education & Experience

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years vocational or technical course work
  • Five years progressively responsible experience performing skilled maintenance and repair work on commercial buildings and grounds.
  • 2 year supervisory experience.

Preferred

  • Experience with land acquisition.
  • Experience with initiation of facility licensing and permitting.

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle safely and in compliance with all laws and regulations.
  • Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
  • Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing and climbing.
  • Extensive amount of physical effort required associated with lifting, moving and carrying heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) frequently.

  • Computer literacy.

Travel Required: 50%
