Staff Accountant - Accounts Receivable & Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire process of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of collections, payments, and expense reports.
  • Handle journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and full-cycle vendor management.
  • Perform month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, trial balance analysis, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Contribute to process improvements and ensure compliance with financial controls and US GAAP.
  • Assist in preparing monthly budget variance reports and support the annual and interim audit process.
  • Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure accurate and effective financial operations.
  • Complete special analyses and tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in corporate accounting with exposure to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and general ledger activities.
  • Skills: Proficiency in US GAAP and accounting software (Sage Intacct experience preferred). Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in healthcare, SaaS, or third-party logistics industries is beneficial.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attributes: Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. A passion for process improvement and a "can-do" attitude are essential.

The Fine Print

  • Core Hours: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
  • Reports To: Assistant Controller.
  • Benefits: Competitive salary plus bonus, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, flexible spending accounts, equity, 401(k), and flexible time off/work schedule.
  • Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to travel up to 10%.
