Title:Commercial Construction Maintenance General Manager
Desired Experience:A bachelor's degree in Business, Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, Administration, or a related building construction field.
Type:1099 contract, flexible, 100% remote with routine client site visits 1-3 times per month (will preferably reside in EST or CST time zone)
Pay:$30-$45/hr + financial performance incentives
- hourly vs. % of revenue/profits compensation incentives: varies by assigned client
- 12 month earnings potential in excess of $100K gross
Job Summary:We are seeking a proactive and experienced Commercial Construction Maintenance General Manager to join our team. The Manager will work with our Facilities related clients to oversee operations, including planning, organizing, and optimizing processes to ensure efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a solid understanding of business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to all operational functions of the assigned, client businesses, ensuring alignment with organizational sales, operations and finance goals and objectives
- Collaborate with the accounting department to develop AP, AR, cash management, revenue forecasts and financial projections, based on market trends, historical data, and business strategy
- Monitor staffing levels and manpower needs across various departments, optimizing resource allocation to meet operational requirements while controlling costs- Work closely with sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements across all operational areas, and work with team members to design and implement best practices and technology solutions as appropriate
- Implement quality control measures to ensure products and services meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements
- Develop and manage operational budgets, tracking expenses, job costs and variances to ensure financial targets are met
- Project budgets, estimation and quotes. Customer and vendor negotiations and agreements
- Recruit, train and manage diverse teams of remote and service area personnel including office and field teams
- Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets and minimize liabilities
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure operational performance, providing regular reports and analysis to senior management
- Recruit, train, and mentor operations staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Technology proficiencies:

- Microsoft 365:
- Excel
- Calendar management
- 5 years prior management experience in a commercial and/or residential facilities maintenance, home service and/or light construction business.
- Prior field operations management experience.
- Business financial statement literacy: P&L, balance sheet, projections & forecasting
