Marketing Manager

Are you passionate about skiing and snowboarding, mountain biking, or just the outdoors? Translate your passion into your profession at Lee Canyon. As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for implementing strategic marketing plans for both our Summer and Winter seasons, leading the marketing team, managing budgets, overseeing digital marketing channels, and driving the Lee Canyon Recreation brand further through innovative marketing.

Ideally you will have strong leadership, communication, and multimedia skills to ensure the brand is being upheld to the highest standards.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Be an advocate for our company purpose, Give People the Freedom to Ski, and be an ambassador for our company cultures and values
  • Oversee all advertising campaigns and social platforms to ensure brand guidelines and business objectives are being met
  • Develop and execute marketing plans, including annual budget, public relations, on-mountain signage, and social strategy
  • Work closely with all departments on the mountain to create clear, concise, and effective messaging and promotions for our guests
  • Assist in capturing on-mountain content in alignment with marketing objectives.
  • Develop assets for website, print, and digital platforms
  • Manage and update website content including SEO
  • Identify and understand emerging industry, social, & marketing trends
  • Create meaningful partnerships internally and externally
  • Understand key priorities at Lee Canyon Recreation and develop plans to support and meet all resort KPIs
  • Provide additional marketing support when needed for collective products
  • Support additional special projects as needed

Skills/Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe CC Suite
  • WordPress or other CMS
  • Proficient in Google Analytics 360 Suite
  • Social media account management
  • Strong analytical skills to identify market trends
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize deadlines and adapt rapidly
  • A love for skiing or snowboarding is a must, and the ability to ski or snowboard intermediate trails is preferred
  • Guest service forward mentality
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must demonstrate the ability to be both self-directed and a team player
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized
  • Excellent writing, analytical, editing and researching skills
  • Ability to recognize trends and stay ahead of them
  • Understanding of earned media buying strategies
  • Work on weekends/holidays and the ability to be flexible and on-call
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods; lift objects up to 25 pounds

Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience: 2-4 years in a similar level role
  • Resort marketing experience is not required but preferred
  • Understanding of Google Analytics 360 Suite
  • Social Media Account Management
  • Experience with ESPs, CDP, WordPress, Adobe CC Suite, etc.

Bonus Experience

  • Part 107 Drone License/Drone Experience
  • Previously worked in the ski industry
  • Strong skiing or snowboarding skills

Education

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business, Public Relations or a related field is preferred
