Minimum Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in fintech, financial services or technology policy
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 10 years of experience in fintech, financial services or technology policy
- Master’s degree in relevant field or J.D.
- Existing relationships with policy makers
- Project management experience
As the Director, Government Affairs and Fintech Policy, you'll lead a robust policy portfolio focused on fintech and AI issues and advance policy and strategy priorities for the company before senior federal regulators, investors, legislators, as well as third-party organizations. You'll impact the outcome by shaping the future of the fintech policy landscape in Washington, D.C. and across the country.
Responsibilities
- Lead the firm’s fintech policy portfolio serving as an in-house expert on financial services-related legislation and policy to identify opportunities for internal clients
- Analyze portfolio-specific policy proposals and organize company response and messaging in coordination with internal business partners, federal and state advocacy teams
- Work closely with internal business partners to develop policy positions and create a strategic plan with specific actions and tactics to advance our policy goals
- Draft persuasive written communications and briefing materials for company leadership, including legislative and regulatory analysis, policy briefing papers, and other communications on topics affecting Rocket Companies
- Identify promising public policy solutions through a variety of methodologies and sources
- Build, maintain, and expand the company’s relationships with key federal agencies, the White House, members of Congress, trade associations, and other external stakeholders to advance common policy priorities
- Represent Rocket policy priorities before congressional staff, policymakers, experts, and other stakeholders
- Serve as an advocate and Rocket representative in public policy forums, trade group meetings, and with corporate partners, as needed

Colorado, New York City, Jersey City, California, D.C and Washington Candidates Only. The salary range for this position is one hundred thirty thousand five hundred dollars to two hundred seventy-three thousand five hundred dollars. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K retirement plan, and paid-time off. The Company may determine during its review of the proposed compensation and benefits provided for this position, that the compensation and benefits for such position should be reduced.
