Job description

Work with the CEO of Altura Ventures (www.altura.net) as an "Entrepreneur In Residence" (EIR) for a new startup based on your vision for a new product / service. Altura Ventures will help to nurture your concept into a fundable company.


The most valuable startup ideas are likely to be in the B2B SaaS space because they are the easiest to get funded, least expensive to market, and fastest to get to profitability. That being said, if you have a killer B2C product / service in mind, plesae apply for the position.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Pick the product / service concept that your startup can get to an MVP-level (or further) with $250,000 tin funding
  2. Work with the Altura Ventures GEM System for startup funding to raise $250,000 in under 3 months
  3. Assume a full- or part-time position as the CEO / CTO / CMO of the startup after the $250,000 is raised

The candidates who will most enjoy the position will be those who have a startup vision. they are passionate about seeing in the market. They must also be willing to apply Lee Lorenzen's proven system for startup success (see www.altura.net/bio) which offers a different path to funding than the traditional VC route.


After you prove yourself in the first 3 months' of fundraising (with Altura's help), you can move into a part-time role with a target compensation of $100,000 per year. This amount will begin after the first $250,000 is raised. When the next $1,000,000 is raised, your compensation can increase to $200,000 per year.


This cash compensation will be coupled with an equity stake of 60% to 90% in the startup based on the intial funding coming from the EIR's own circle-of-trust (e.g., friends, family, colleagues, co-founders, employees, etc.) and 20% to 60% if the funding comes from the business eco-system surrounding the startup (e.g., customers, distribution partners, vendors, strategic partners, etc.).
