  • Organize and plan meetings to include preparing minutes, agendas, and scheduling.
  • Organize and attend meetings, including preparing the agenda, scheduling, writing detailed minutes, and progress reports.
  • Create and maintain office files, electrically and manually.
  • Provide administrative support to the unit.
  • Telephone NYCHA resident as instructed.
  • Retrieve and verify that requested information from field staff or internal staff is accurate.
  • Compile and email reports.
  • Provide support in maintaining the VP and Deputy Director calendar and meetings.
  • Provide administrative tasks, including answering and rerouting incoming calls.
  • Perform specific projects as requested by the VP, Deputy Director, or designee.

NOTE: Preference will be given to CIVIL SERVICE BRDIGE EXAM# 3971 takers.

NOTE: IF THIS APPOINTMENT IS MADE ON A PROVISIONAL BASIS PURSUANT TO 65 OF THE NYS CIVIL SERVICE LAW, NO TENURE OR PERMANENCE ACCRUES TO AN INCUMBENT IN THIS POSITION BY VIRTUE OF SUCH APPOINTMENT.

Minimum Qualifications

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization?

Skills Requirement: You will be required to meet the typing skills requirement by demonstrating the ability to type accurately on a personal computer at a minimum speed of 35 words per minute after errors are deducted. You must meet this requirement in order to be appointed.
