Accounting Manager

Warren Averett is working with a growing company, headquartered in Miami with operations in Colorado and Texas, to identify the new Leader of their Finance team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and enjoy being extremely hands on while being enthusiastic, energetic and self-driven.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Accounting function for multiple locations
• Oversee office operations, ensuring accurate daily banking and inventory verification/reconciliations are complete
• Conducts special studies and coordinates with management to analyze financial actions and prepare recommendations for policy, procedure, control and efficiencies
• Responsible for financial period accounting close, including AP, CM, AR, GL batch releases, batch posts, preparation of all financial statement documentation and period close after the final financial statements are prepared, as directed after review
• Responsible for all financial forecasting and P&L, weekly, for management
• Maintain an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results
• Responsible for cash management and risk management for multiple locations in multiple states
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Ensure that bank reconciliations are completed, timely and accurately
• Provide financial analyses, monthly, to ensure all obligations are accounted for
• Proper recording of the payroll expense
• Knowledgeable of period accruals
• Cash management including cash projections and cash flow reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Accounting
• At least 5-10 years of accounting experience
• Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, preferred
• Proficiency working in QuickBooks
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Manage accounting team located in India
• Review all processes to ensure they are providing the most accurate results, efficiently
