Base pay range

$325,000.00/yr - $375,000.00/yr

OUR CLIENT IS A WELL KNOWN LA BASED ACCESSORIES COMPANY AND THEY ARE SEEKING A STRONG VP OF WHOLESALE WHO LIVES IN LA OR OC. MUST CURRENTLY BE A VP OF WHOLESALE IN FASHION ACCESSORIES AND FOCUS ON SPECIALTY BUSINESS! NO EXCEPTIONS!!


Position Overview:

The Vice President of Wholesale Sales will be responsible for leading and managing a dynamic sales team focused on driving revenue growth across 3000+ specialty women's and men's stores, including western stores. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in building business and team leadership. This executive leadership role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of a fashionable retail market, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key partners. The VP of Wholesale Sales reports directly to the President and works closely with the Owner and Founder.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive wholesale strategy to achieve sales and profitability goals.

• Identify and capitalize on opportunities to gain new retail customers.

• Grow and expand the business and brand presence with new and existing customers.

• Collaborate with senior management to align wholesale strategies with overall company objectives.

• Lead the development and execution of short-term and long-term plans, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and mission.


Team Development:

• Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing wholesale team.

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and growth.

• Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching.

• Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.

• Encourage cross-functional collaboration to achieve common goals.

• Help Account Executives build their skills to grow their business one customer at a time.


Relationship Building and Collaboration:

• Build and nurture strong relationships with internal and external business customers to drive business growth.

• Act as a liaison between the wholesale team and other departments, fostering a collaborative environment.

• Represent the company at retailer meetings, events, trade shows, and company meetings to enhance relationships and brand presence.

• Promote a culture of teamwork, open communication, and mutual respect across all levels of the organization.


Sales and Business Development:

• Lead the wholesale sales team, providing direction, support, and performance management.

• Track and analyze sales performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.


Student of the Marketplace:

• Stay informed of current market conditions, customer trends, competitor landscape, and emerging trends in the industry.

• Use data and insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to strategies.


Financial Management:

• Develop and manage the wholesale budget, including sales forecasts, expense budgets, and profitability targets.

• Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions to ensure targets are met or exceeded.

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis.


Operational Excellence:

• Streamline and optimize wholesale sales operations to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.

• Implement best practices and processes to improve operational performance.

• Lead initiatives to enhance the customer experience and strengthen relationships with key accounts.


Qualifications:

• Ability to think strategically and execute effectively.

• Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets.

• Strong understanding of the wholesale business, distribution channels, and retail environments.

• A teacher, mentor, and coach curating lessons for each individual.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

• A relationship builder with the ability to nurture strong relationships with partners and team members.

• Strong collaborator with the ability to work cross-functionally to achieve business objectives.

• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
